WHAT IF——–THIS CHRISTMAS? Our country and even the world we live in, is in such chaos. People are angry and not speaking to each other for whatever reason. Politics and government disruptions, and it all stems back to choices of the heart. We can disagree and yet love another person. We can choose to get along and give grace to one another even if we don’t always think alike. What if…..this Christmas, everyone put aside their differences and prayed for one another and went out of their way to show love in everything they did or said? Wow, even if for a day or a week, we did that, what a different world we would be in. The love of God would flow among all mankind and hate, murder and crime would not exist for that time. Yes, it would be wonderful if we all could live in such a place here on earth, if even for a short time. Maybe it would become standard because everyone would love it so much. The world we really live in is so different, yet, the world we make around us, depends on our choices and how we treat others. Everyone doesn’t choose to love and get along with their fellow man. It is so easy for us to get angry and upset when we see others making choices that are divisive, and harmful to others. Jesus gave us a commandment that covers this well. In John 15:12 -” This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you” This Is why we celebrate Christmas. God sent His love to earth through Jesus and when we accept Him and His love, we will show forth that love to those around us. Check your heart this Christmas. Is it full of God’s love and do you choose to freely give it to those around you. The greatest gift you can give this season is the love of Jesus Christ to every person you come in contact with. Try it, with a smile, a touch, a prayer, or a kind gesture. You will feel God’s love filling your heart and you will be blessed beyond measure. Just do it and you will see!!
