You’ve tried everything to try to make it work and nothing you do works. You keep on and on and it seems you are hitting a brick wall, what then? All of us have done this at some time or another. It was something we felt like we wanted to do or had to do. A door was open to step in. A new business venture or a new job we thought we wanted, then everything started to go wrong. I am not saying just because we run into obstacles should we quit, but when there is nothing positive happening, and you are really uneasy in your spirit, listen to your heart.
Listen to your heart when you are making decisions. Just because a door is open to something doesn’t mean you are the one who is suppose to go through it. Perhaps God has another door for you and you didn’t wait to listen and just assumed it must be for you. When we get ahead of the Lord, we are going to be miserable. Nothing will work the way we had planned and most of all when it is not God, then it will not work out the way you wanted it to.
This is another reason to pray before you take a new job, or sign up for a business, or become a volunteer. Is this what God has for you or is He directing you in another place? When it is the Lord, you will have perfect peace. Things will fall into place and you will have a joy in your spirit. You will know in your heart that you are doing exactly what God has directed you to.
Listen to your heart and He will speak to it. You will know that you know you have heard the Lord before you step out. He always brings peace.
